Analysis.                                       “Nunez Tennis Academy”

The first step that brought me to Miami was primarily this Academy. Back home, everyone was talking about Miami, as the best place to play tennis. As this was and still a place where the biggest tennis stars develop. Plus the weather and capabilities in Miami are delightful. Tennis courts can be found on every four blocks, also which include a huge amount of well-known academies. All this temptations raised the family matter, of me joining one of the academies. Therefore, choice felt on Nunez Tennis Academy.

The Academy played a huge roll not only in my tennis career, but in my life experience as well. Four long early summers, are connected to this one particular place. Four lovely birthdays were celebrated in the tennis family. Perhaps, all this summer’s weren’t even about sharping my tennis skills and building my career. Rather it was a pure summer sun camp full of adventures and overwhelming feelings. Although now, I can perfectly see how I exceeded my social skills and adaptation to the new environment. I began as an eight year old alien, who did not speak English. This weakness did not bring the best relations from the older kids. However, I didn’t care that much, and if I did then I only thing I could do is to overcome the pressure and grow a stronger personality. Hence, every next summer, I succeeded my language skills and my communication connections rapidly grew. As a result, I became a true member of the tennis family.

Meanwhile, now I see that this was now just a local camp, it was a door towards different nationalities. A huge range of players including me came down for summer, to try on new experience. In fact, Academy included local kids from Miami, Spanish speaking exiles, and mobiles, like me, from Europe. Such a mix of players of different nationality and even age, gave some flavor of life to each one of us. Sometimes kids kept within a particular social group that was closest to them. However, as children we still didn’t pay that much attention to such things, like nationality differences. Moreover, we were connected with one activity and it only helped us to build new connections with each other.
